Family and education

Each associated municipality has its primary and elementary school:

• Primary and elementary school of Faanui under the direction of Me. Adèle TEHAUREI
• Primary and elementary school of Anau under the direction of Me. Rosane VAIHO
• Kindergarten of Tiipoto (Nunue) under the direction of Mr Hotuarii CHUNG TIEN
• Primary school of Namaha I (Nunue) under the direction of Me. Lucille HOLMAN
• Primary school of Namaha II (Nunue) under the direction of Mr Romain HAUATA
• Young teenager centre ‘Nunue under the direction of Me. Wanda TAINOA

For the school year 2014 – 2015 these schools welcome nearly 1500 pupils, 64 teachers, 3 of them are special masters (two E masters for pedagogy and a G master for behaviour) and one psychologist. The pedagogical advisers is in post in Bora Bora: Claudine TEHEIURA. The inspector of the district is Mr Moana GREIG.

For the second cycle, the commune is endowed with a single high school for 800 pupils. To pursue their scholarship the island children have to go to Raiatea or Tahiti to the “Université de Polynésie Française”.
